Valérie is a passionate teacher who focus her attention on her students. She constantly updates her knowledge to adapt her teaching to her student’s personality and morphology. In addition to sharing hard work and tenacity values, Valérie believes that a musician must share the pleasure of expression through the instrument.
Valérie is in charge of the harp class at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal. In January 2020, Valérie was in charge of the harp class at the Festival de Musica de Santa Catarina, which takes place at Jaragua do Sul (Brazil). In 2021, she launched Valérie’s Harp Speakeasy, an online interactive and educational group for harpists, live in March.
Valérie is a pupil of Caroline Lizotte (Master Degree – Conservatoire de musique de Trois-Rivières) and Rita Costanzi (Prix d’Europe Study Grant). She started learning the harp with Marie-Josée Laprise, in Montréal, at 10 years old. She also played in numerous masterclasses for renowned teachers as Isabelle Moretti, Alice Giles and more. Valérie started her harp studies at ten, at the École de harpe Marie-Josée Laprise in Montréal.
